Loving My Charlie

Last night Tony and I took Charlie for some mini golf at Universal. We had so much fun! There was some loud music and flashing lights. It didn’t bother me but Charlie kept trying to golf with one hand and cover his ears with the other. He is 12 years old, almost as tall as me but he still struggles with certain sounds. Last night he said it hurt.
I can’t imagine going through life and being afraid of sounds, having to block out certain input because it hurts.
He has come such a long way and I am so proud of how he is using his words and able to express more his feelings.
He is my son. He is unique. He is loved. I will never give up on you. I will continue to work daily to help you be as Independant as possible. I love you Charlie!
